One of the most high-profile celebrity trials in recent memory is about to be over and things are foggier than ever.
The court proceeding saw horrifying testimonies from Casandra Ventura, better known as Cassie, Kid Cudi and former employees.
The jury was also shown tapes of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ infamous freak-off parties, which received mixed reactions.
Reports indicate that while some jurors expressed utter disgust, others found the videos amusing and gave a visible laugh.
The trial itself has now become the subject of controversy after the presiding judge dismissed one of the jurors due to alleged dishonesty.
All that did not shake the resolve of the music mogul’s legal team, who have publicly disclosed that they intend to keep on fighting.
However, the trial, which began on May 5, is nearing its end, with Tuesday’s proceeding seeing the prosecutors rest their case after presenting their 34th and final witness.
According to TMZ, shortly after the witness' testimony, Judge Arun Subramanian asked Diddy how he feels, to which the defendant responded: "I'm doing great, your honor. I've been wanting to tell you thank you, you're doing an excellent job."
The outlet also reports that the judge expressed his gratitude towards the 55-year-old and asked him to confirm his decision not to testify, which he respectfully did.
Sean “Diddy” Combs was indicted in the Southern District of New York on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force and transportation for purposes of prostitution.
