The high-profile trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs is in its second month and we have more questions than answers at this point.
The trial itself has now become the subject of controversy after the presiding judge dismissed one of the jurors due to alleged dishonesty.
The dismissal resulted in the defence accusing the court of racial bias, as the juror in question was of Black Hispanic heritage.
On Wednesday, another juror fell sick due to vertigo, resulting in U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian declaring that the court session “cannot go on today."
The delay meant the trial would not be able to resume until Friday because Thursday is June 19th, also known as Juneteenth, a federal holiday.
However, the judge also announced that Friday’s session would conclude early at 1 p.m. because one of the jurors has to attend their son’s graduation ceremony.
The multiple disruptions means that the court proceedings would properly resume next week, on June 23.
Cassie Ventura and Sean “Diddy” Combs were in a long-term relationship from 2007 to 2018.
