Kids’ Choice Award 2025: Tyla enthrals little music lovers with spectacular performance
South African singer and songwriter Tyla stole the show at the Kids’ Choice Award held on June 21 at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles.
The 23-year-old not only hosted the high-energy event but also delivered a dazzling performance that had young music fans screaming with excitement.
As part of the ceremony’s most iconic tradition, Tyla was drenched in slime completely, leaving kids entertained.
Despite weeks of rehearsals, the Water hitmaker had a shocking but smiling reaction. Before the event night, she told Parade: “I am not nervous. I’m excited, low-key… but I’m just hoping it doesn’t blast me.”
Well, the slime did blast her and fans loved every second. Other celebs like MGK, Jack Black, KATSEYE, Kira Kosarin, and Jack Griffo also got slimed, making this year’s event one of the messiest and most memorable yet.
The tradition started when Nickelodeon's hit show "You Can't Do That On Television" used to drench guests in slime for saying "I don't know" to any question. This became a hit and it became associated with the network since then. Its been 40 years Nickelodeon has been sliming the celebrities.
