One of the most memorable, and hilarious, Royal Ascot moments resurfaced recently, reminding fans of the lighter side of royal life.

During the 2017 opening day of the iconic horse racing event, Kate Middleton and Duchess Sophie shared an unexpected laugh in front of the cameras.

As the royal ladies prepared to board their carriage for the Royal Procession, Sophie took a small stumble while stepping in.

Thankfully, Kate was quick on her feet and caught her before she could fall, sparing the moment from turning into a royal mishap.

Both royals burst into giggles as the moment played out, a candid and relatable reminder that even royal duties come with unexpected slips.

Sophie, now the Duchess of Edinburgh, is a regular at Royal Ascot and is expected to attend this year’s festivities.

Known for her enthusiastic support from the Royal Enclosure, she often cheers on her chosen horses with gusto.

The Royal Enclosure, first established in 1807 and formalized in 1845, remains the most exclusive part of Ascot.
