Justin Baldoni, who is known for directing It Ends With Us drama, suffered a major blow after court dismissed his defamation lawsuit against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

The counter legal action came after the 37-year-old actress filed a case against the filmmaker, accusing him of sexual harassment.

It was reported by Daily Mail that the Jane the Virgin actor felt “a huge kick to the guts” after the judge’s decision changed the course of the legal crossfire.

However, the actor continues to have “full trust with legal team” and is trying figure out a way “to move forward from this current setback.”

According to the source, the the romantic drama has now become a “tale of two worlds.”

This came after Blake turned to Instagram to share “the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit,” marking this major victory with an appreciation story.

She noted that there are many who “don’t have the resources to fight back.” For this reason, the Green Lantern actress has decided to be “more resolved than ever” in the fight.

Blake is willing to firmly stand “for every woman’s right to have a voice protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story.”

Why was Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit dismissed?

In the legal documents, Judge Lewis J Liman wrote that the director and his company have not alleged if "Lively is responsible for any statements other than the statements in her complaint, which are privileged.”

The judge explained that Justin’s allegations against Ryan, Solance or the Times do not fulfil the requirements “for them to be liable for defamation under applicable law.”
