Taylor Swift trends as AI Dorothy after ‘Wicked’ trailer release

Pop star Taylor Swift is trending as AI generated images of her as fairytale character Dorothy in Wicked: For Good began to take off on the internet.

The images lead fans to speculate if singer Ariana Grande would be joined by Swift, however, it seems they will be disappointed.

Although not being played by the singer, Dorothy will reportedly have a much bigger role in the next film.

She briefly appeared in the first Wicked film as she could be seen walking down the Yellow Brick Road.

Director John Chu said about the character, “Well, we definitely did cast Dorothy. You see her in some of our teasers. How much of do you see of Dorothy? I’m going to leave people— I can’t confirm or deny how much you see of her.”

He continued, “I will say that I do think it’s important for, whoever Dorothy is to you, to try to respect that as much as possible. But does The Wizard of Oz and our movie intersect in movie two more than ever? 100%.”

Wicked: For Good is set to come out on November 21, 2025.
