Rowan Atkinson rose to fame with his UFO character Mr. Bean due to his quirky and unique ways of living, delivering timeless comedy to the world.
Although the 70-year-old is usually referred to as Mr. Bean, Rowan dished on his dislikeness of the iconic role despite sharing similarities with the silent comedian.
During the London screening of his new movie Man Vs. Baby, the Johnny English lead admitted that the funny character is a “selfish, self-serving, anarchic child.”
Although the actor pointed out that he would “never like to have dinner with him,” Rowan revealed “he is possibly a bit like I was at age 10.”
The Hollywood star would opt for “a slightly eccentric way” in situations.
He further insisted that the character like Bean wouldn’t be invited to his house. It is to be noted that show is positioned in “one of the UK’s biggest comedy exports.”
The new project is a follow up project of Man Vs Bee, which was released in 2022 and became a commercial success on Netflix.
However, initial reviews paint a grim picture for the new instalment as The Guardian’s Rachel Aroesti penned down that the story “trades on Cosy British Christmascore in the most-trite way possible.”
Moreover, the writer believes that it is “a nauseatingly schmaltzy and nonsensical.”
