Hayley Atwell drops truth bombs about filming Mission: Impossible

American actress Hayley Atwell surprised fans with a candid take on filming a fight scene in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning during her appearance on The Tonight Show.

In her interview with Jimmy Fallon, aired on Thursday, May 22, the acclaimed theatre actress shared that she was eight and a half months pregnant while filming the high-octane fight scene for the movie.

Jimmy was set to roll the clip of her and Tom Cruise’s performance in the sequence, but before playing it, he asked if Hayley had anything to share with the audience.

"I've never said this before, actually. This is a Fallon exclusive,” Hayley said. “But during this fight sequence, we came back to it a few times to add a few elements to it. And in this clip, I'm actually eight and a half months pregnant."

The BAFTA-nominated actress sincerely shared that everyone on set was supportive and took care of her. They suggested that she could sit down and let her stunt double take over.

“And I was like, 'No! I've worked too hard. Let me do it.' So I did it — and here it is," she said.

Hayley appeared in the two latest movies of the Mission: Impossible franchise and stated on the show that they had been filming for five years, including The Dead Reckoning and The Final Reckoning.

Mission: Impossible was pregnant while filming the eighth MI sequel with her husband, Ned Wolfgang Kelly, in 2024.
