Jennifer Garner reveals Ben Affleck turned family life into 'chaos'

Jennifer Garner has revealed the shocking extent of the paparazzi frenzy surrounding her family.

The 54-year-old actress admitted that it became so intense that her children's football club asked them to stop attending training.

She opened up about the difficult years she shared with ex-husband Ben Affleck, explaining that the constant chase by photographers turned even the simplest family outings into stressful ordeals. 

For the unversed, the former couple share three children, Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14.

Speaking on Evan Ross Katz's Shut Up Evan podcast, Garner recalled the extraordinary scenes that followed them wherever they went.

She claimed that if she drove through a yellow traffic light, up to 15 cars packed with photographers would race through the red behind her.

The situation became so disruptive that their youngest son's football association stepped in.

"We were trying to have our little one play soccer, and the association asked us to stop because there were 20 cars coming," she explained, adding that it wasn't just affecting her family but everyone around them.

The 13 Going on 30 actress also remembered the distress of trying to take one of her ill children to the paediatrician.

While photographers blocked the entrance, insisting the relentless attention had become a genuine safety issue rather than just an inconvenience.

Although she admitted she never felt comfortable complaining because of her privileged lifestyle, she stressed that innocent children were the ones paying the price.

Despite years of clashes with photographers, the Elektra star confessed she has developed an unexpected relationship with one veteran paparazzo. 

After years of encounters, the pair built a strange mutual respect, to the point where she once ran to him for protection when she feared another person was following her.

Still, she admitted she has also called police on him countless times, simply asking for the chance to walk her children and dog in peace.
