After stunning revelations and calls from fans and celebrities to release Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion and her legal team are continuing to respond.
Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2023 after being found guilty of gross negligence in the 2020 shooting of the singer.
Recently, a significant development occurred in the saga when it was alleged that Kelsey Harris, a former friend of Megan, was present on the night of the shooting.
On May 14, Lanez’s legal team revealed that Harris’ bodyguard had testified that it was she who shot Megan.
The bodyguard claims that Harris had a gun during the incident and was intending to use it. The attorneys further alleged that Lanez was never given a fair trial.
Earlier this week, Megan took to social media to directly address Lanez, pleading with him to stop the alleged harassment she claims to be receiving from his fans.
“FACTS ARE FACTS, he did it, it was PROVEN IN COURT,” the raptress dismissed the latest development in the case while asserting, “TORY YOU SHOT ME.”
The Hot Girl Summer hitmaker finished her rant by calling Lanez a “demon” and seemingly announcing her internet hiatus.
On Thursday, Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, also released an official statement dismissing the latest revelations as “false.”
Spiro reiterated that Lanez was justly tried in the courtroom and pleaded guilty himself but his legal team has been pushing a “misleading narrative” from random claimants.
The attorney concluded by calling out fans for their alleged harassment of his client, labelling them as “foolish bullies.”
Tory Lanez was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in July 2020 following a violent argument at a house party.
Megan Thee Stallion was with the rapper that night and was reported to have injured her foot due to shattered glass.
However, Megan later took to Instagram to claim that she was intentionally shot by Tory during the altercation.
