Tory Lanez allegedly took fall for Kelsey Harris in Megan Thee Stallion shooting

The Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion shooting controversy has recently seen fresh twists.

Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2023 after being found guilty of gross negligence in the 2020 shooting of the raptress.

It was recently alleged that Kelsey Harris, a former friend of Megan, was present on the night of the shooting.

On Wednesday, Lanez’s legal team revealed that her bodyguard has testified that it was she who shot Megan.

The bodyguard claims that Harris had a gun during the incident and was intending to use it.

The attorney further alleged that his client was never given a fair trial. However, Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, has disputed these claims and stressed that Lanez was “properly adjudicated” via the justice system.

Following the revelation, podcaster Jason Lee showed alleged text messages from Lanez in the latest episode of his show.

In the texts, the artist said that he is preparing to “physically come home this year” and asserted his innocence, to which Lee asked why he did not plead his innocence in court.

Lanez talked about “suppressed evidence” he was not aware of in the conversation and he was told that the DNA evidence was “inconclusive.”

“I never said nothing and ate the ten years for them to live. Crazy place we live in," Lanez added. “I took the rap for Kelsey, never wanted her to go to jail and I never wanted Megan to get hurt or anything, so in me stopping her from getting shot I got the raw deal.”

The development came after the 32-year-old was stabbed 14 times in a housing unit at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi.

The rapper survived the brutal attack but reportedly suffered collapsed lungs and was placed on a breathing apparatus.

How did the Megan Thee Stallion shooting occur?

Tory Lanez was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in July 2020 following a violent argument at a house party.

Megan Thee Stallion was with the rapper that night and was reported to have injured her foot due to shattered glass.

However, Megan later took to Instagram to claim that she was intentionally shot by Tory during the altercation.
