Young Thug does not seem to have buried the hatchet when it comes to his alleged feud with his longtime YSL affiliate, Gunna.

The duo produced massive hits together back in the day and were a hip-hop force during the latter half of the 2010s and early 2020s.

However, things took a sour turn after Thug’s arrest in May 2022 in the YSL RICO case.

Gunna also turned himself in after an arrest warrant was issued but was released in December 2022 after making a plea deal, causing some to believe that the Lemonade hitmaker had snitched on his friend.

The 31-year-old and his attorney have publicly denied informing against his YSL associate.

Thug allegedly called his supposed friend a “rat” after he was released from prison last October on a 15-year probation sentence after making his own plea deal. YSL Records also recently removed all mentions of Gunna from their Instagram.

On May 17, the Beat the Case artist posted a string of workout photos, with the caption, "06/ /2025 !!!" which is interpreted by many as the release date of Gunna’s next project.

Fans also conclude that Gunna has moved on from his YSL label after noticing, in the same set of images, that he has covered the YSL tattoo with something else.

Thug seemingly reacted to the revelation in a social media comment: “I mean... he said it must end lol.”

Some speculate that the short remark is also a reference to Gunna’s statement in the YSL RICO trial when he accepted the plea deal.

Nonetheless, it is evident that the hip-hop world might be witnessing the beginning of its next big rivalry.

Which songs did Young Thug and Gunna produce together?

Young Thug and Gunna collaborated on hit tracks like Hot (2019), Dollaz on My Head (2020) and Solid (2021).
