Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, starring together in new thriller Die, My Love, turned heads at the Cannes red carpet this year.
After the movie premiered at the festival, the co-stars and the team celebrated a huge milestone as the audience stood up and applauded the movie for nearly nine minutes according to Deadline.
Jennifer and Robert were honoured witnessing the love from everyone as they hugged the filmmaker Lynne Ramsay, revelling the proud moment along with the ensemble.
The new project is centred on a novel written by Ariana Harwicz in 2017 which revolves around a new mother’s struggle with postpartum depression and psychosis.
The outlet’s review was given by Damon Wise who gushed about The Hunger Games alum that “America knows very well how good [she] can be.”
The X-Men: First Class star’s acting was widely appreciated by the critics, calling Die, My Love a “mesmerizing film” with a “brutal but beautiful story.”
He particularly praised the director, predicting that the motion picture can lead Lynne “into the next stage of her career.”
The 34-year-old marked her return to the big screen after starring in No Hard Feelings where she portrayed the role of a woman who is hired to date a 19-year-old.
Critics speculate that Jennifer Lawrence’s outstanding performance in the dark comedy might land her another “Oscar nomination.”
The Winter’s Bone lead has been awarded with an Academy Award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook in the category "Best Actress."
