Halle Berry’s ‘irrational’ persona explained

Halle Berry has been putting details of her private life on full display, and the reason behind her vulnerability has now been revealed.

The Catwoman actress, who had the honour of being the first African American to win an Oscar in the best actress category, wore a sheer, mostly see-through gown to the Met Gala earlier in May, while also sharing an intimate detail of her private life with boyfriend Van Hunt, to her social media.

In the wake of these instances, a source close to the 58-year-old told Page Six, “Halle marches to the beat of her own drum.”

The insider, who claims to have known her for decades, continued, “She has always been very defensive that she’s much more than her beauty … there’s a beauty and a sweetness there, then she can appear irrational.”

However, Halle’s seemingly 'irrational' behaviour was backed by another source that noted the former model’s health struggles, namely, menopause, and her efforts as an advocate for its awareness.

“She’s owning this age and stage of life beautifully, she’s a mother of two healthy and beautiful children and has been in a healthy relationship for years, and she’s expressing her joy openly,” the second insider alleged.

Notably, Halle has also experienced a significant loss of hearing in her left ear.

How did Halle Berry lose her hearing?

Halle suffered domestic abuse at the hands of a former boyfriend, Wesley Snipes. The martial artist hit the Bruised star so hard that it caused her to become nearly deaf.
