Meghan Markle’s popularity has plummeted to a record low, according to newly released YouGov survey data.
The Duchess of Sussex is now viewed positively by just 20 percent of Britons, while a staggering 65 percent see her in a negative light, marking her lowest approval rating since polling began in 2017.
The findings come from a survey of 2,222 British adults conducted between May 6-7, 2025.
Although her previous rating in February showed 21 percent positive and 65 percent negative views, the latest figures highlight a new low for Meghan.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry’s favourability has also suffered a steep decline. Following his bombshell BBC interview after losing his UK security court case, the Duke of Sussex now holds a 27 percent positive rating, with 63 percent viewing him negatively, which is his worst score since early 2023.
The data revealed stark generational divides: younger Britons are generally more supportive of Harry and Meghan, while older demographics remain overwhelmingly critical.
By contrast, the Prince and Princess of Wales continue to dominate in popularity. Prince William boasts a 75 percent positive approval rating, while Princess Kate follows closely at 72 percent.
Princess Anne remains another firm favourite, with 69 percent holding a favourable view and only 11 percent seeing her negatively, the lowest unfavourable rating of any royal.
King Charles came in fourth, with 61 percent viewing him positively, although his unfavorable rating has risen slightly to 29 percent.
Unsurprisingly, Prince Andrew remains the least popular royal, with a staggering 85 percent of Britons holding a negative view and just 5 percent viewing him favourably.
