Jennifer Lopez, who finalised her divorce with ex-husband Ben Affleck, is expected to take the stage as a host for the American Music Awards after a decade.
However, the 55-year-old singer suffered a major blow after getting a facial injury while rehearsing for her hosting gig.
Jennifer took to her Instagram to share a selfie of a cut on her nose that she got before making striking appearance on May 26, 2025.
The On the Floor hitmaker captioned the story: “So… this happened,” as the songstress iced her wound.
Jennifer gave a shout out to her doctor for “stitching” her. In the update, she admitted that “a week later and a whole lotta ice, I’m good as new.”
On April 9, the Ain’t Your Mama hitmaker was announced to officially take the lead of the programme as Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions gushed about her “incredible talent and incomparable stage presence.”
The Dance Again singer revealed in a 2024 interview that she has a special connection with the event as she “remember[s] watching them at home when I was a little girl.”
She made her debut at the AMA in 2001, putting on an electrifying show for her fans.
Although the pop soloist recently ended her marriage with Ben, she is reportedly looking for love again. Her friends are motivating her to meet “someone new.”
