Prince Harry and King Charles once shared a touching interview that reflected their once-close bond, just days after Meghan Markle faced accusations of causing family tensions.
In 2017, Meghan, 43, spent her first royal Christmas at Sandringham with Prince Harry, and later described the experience as “amazing.”
While the festivities seemed joyous, rumors quickly swirled after Harry, 40, skipped the traditional Boxing Day pheasant shoot.
At the time, Meghan was blamed for Harry’s absence, with reports suggesting she disapproved of the hunting tradition. However, it later emerged that there was a different reason behind Harry missing the event.
According to The Daily Mail, Harry had committed to guest-editing the BBC Radio 4 Today programme on December 27.
As part of his editorial duties, Harry recorded a special interview with former US President Barack Obama and also sat down for a heartfelt pre-recorded conversation with his father, then-Prince Charles.
During the interview, King Charles spoke about his dedication to preserving the planet for future generations, saying: “What I've tried to do all these years is make sure that I can ensure that you and your children, my grandchildren, also everyone else's grandchildren, have a world fit to live in."
Harry responded warmly: "I totally see it and I totally understand it because of all these years of conversations that we've been having. I do end up picking your brains more now than I ever have done."
In a tender moment, Charles added: "Well, darling boy, it makes me very proud to think that you understand."
In his BBC sit-down recently, Harry expressed frustration and pain, saying: “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious.”
However, the comment about his father’s health, paired with claims that the Palace played a role in stripping his security, has left royal watchers fuming.
Although Buckingham Palace has chosen not to comment directly on Harry’s remarks about King Charles, they released a blunt statement in response to the court ruling: “All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.”
