Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro are sticking to soft launching their relationship, as the pair did not show up the prestigious Met Gala together.

Though Andrew, 41, was one of the celebrities who skipped the annual event—including Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Blake Lively—he made sure to show up for his new love interest after the Gala was over.

In a clip obtained by Cosmopolitan, the Breathe actor could be seen smiling as he met up with Monica, 34, at The Mark Hotel.

The A Complete Unknown actress, who had changed into a different dress than the one she displayed at the Met, also beamed as she greeted Andrew with a hug, before the two walked off together.

The Amazing Spider-Man star donned a casual outfit, black slacks paired with a graphic tee and a blue, striped shirt layered over it. He accessorized the look with a navy cap, a watch, a pair of sunglasses and a tote bag.

Meanwhile his beau, Monica, had slipped into a sheer, black tulle dress with embroidered flowers over it.

Fans didn’t hold back from expressing their adoration under the video captioned, “He’s giving golden retriever energy here,” as one netizen noted, “i adore them.”

Another chimed in, “they are so cute,” with two crying emojis.

A third user complimented the duo’s attractiveness, adding, “i love when hot people date hot people.”

Notably, Andrew hasn’t attended the Met Gala, also called the Costume Institute Benefit, since 2019.
