'Avengers: Doomsday': mystery actor sends fans reeling

A mysterious new actor on the set of the Avengers: Doomsday set is sending fans of the franchise into a frenzy trying to guess who it is.

A major list of star studded cast members were revealed in a six-hour livestream event however, it’s highly likely that several stars are still being kept under wraps.

Some people insisted that the man in the photo is Robert Downey Jr., who is confirmed to be playing the antagonist Dr. Doom, while others insisted otherwise.

"it's very clearly RDJ,", “RDJ.. Green & Gold door.. Doom," said two fans.

"nobody thinks it’s tom holland? just me? aight,", "Am i the only one thinking that is tom holland?,” questioned two others.

"It looks like @TomCruise to be honest. Maybe a Tony Stark variant," came another guess.

Other guesses included names like ames Marsden, Nathan Fillion, Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender and Charlie Cox, and more.

In other news, Marvel Studios is receiving praise after early viewings of their latest film Thunderbolts starring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

It comes after a particularly dry period for Marvel films, seeing a decline in popularity following the release of Avengers: Endgame.
