It is almost surprising how he does it but Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, knows how to keep stirring controversy every time he speaks.
The artist went on another posting spree on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday evening but it was more about his plans ahead rather than a racist and misogynistic tirade.
One of the posts was about what Ye intends to wear at this year’s Met Gala event.
The post was captioned “MET BALL 2025” and included a sketch of a man and a woman standing next to each other wearing a Ku Klux Klan hood.
The sketch basically suggests that Ye and his wife, Bianca Censori, plan to one-up their eyebrow-raising red carpet appearance at the Grammys earlier this year.
However, the post does not mean the Stronger rapper and his better half will be attending the gala, as he has not been invited to the event since 2022.
Vogue, which organises the festival, banned Ye from the star-studded party in 2022 due to his anti-Semitic rhetoric.
The magazine’s spokesperson previously told PageSix that they’ve “had enough” and “Kanye is no longer part of the inner circle.”
At this point, it is unclear whether Ye somehow nabbed an invitation to the prestigious gathering or he is just trolling its organisers for banning him.
The Costume Institute Benefit, better known as the Met Gala, is an annual event to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in Manhattan, New York.
The festival - which is attended by celebrities, athletes and politicians - is next scheduled to be held on May 5, 2025.
