A U.S. judge has ruled in favor of Blake Lively in a surprising turn in her ongoing legal dispute, with an order to It Ends With Us producer Jamey Heath.
The judge orders Heath to turn over all footage of his wife, Natasha, giving birth.
The decision stems from a prior discovery order, which the judge said “encompassed more than the video Heath claims he showed Lively.”
United States District Judge Lewis J. Liman explained in documents as reported by PEOPLE that any footage depicting the delivery “would tend to support Lively’s claim,” though the material will remain sealed under the case’s protective order due to its sensitive nature.
Because Heath never opposed the original motion to compel, Judge Liman concluded that “the additional footage should have been produced.”
While Lively had requested sanctions against Heath for withholding the full videos and sought to bar him from testifying about what he allegedly showed her, the judge declined to impose penalties, noting that Heath’s misreading of the order “did not amount to willful defiance.”
The judge set a deadline for Heath to turn over all footage by Thursday, November 20, marking a key development in the high-profile case.
Lively continues to pursue accountability while the legal proceedings unfold, ensuring that sensitive material is properly reviewed and protected.
