Child star Sophie Nyweide was found lifeless at the riverbank in Vermont at the age of 24.
The actress, who is known for her roles in Mammoth and Noah, was revealed to be struggling with mental health issues by her family in the obituary shared announcing her death.
In a shocking revelation it was revealed that the 24-year-old was pregnant at the time of her death. The toxicology and forensic report is still pending.
The late actress’ death is now under investigation as a “possible unintentional overdose”, after previously it was reported that police will investigate possible involvement of “foul play”.
“As with any untimely death, Bennington Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) will conduct a thorough and compressive investigation leading up to, as well as the cause of, Nyweide’s death.” according to RadarOnline.
The authorities have revealed that the investigation remains open and there are no further details to be shared at the moment.
In the message shared by Sophie’s family, it was revealed she was taking self-medication to “deal” with all the trauma.
