Child star Sophie Nyweide, best known for her role as Jackie in 2009 Mammoth, was found dead in the early hours of April 14.
Authorities responsible have been investigating the mysterious death of the child star who was found lifeless on a riverbank in Bennington, Vermont.
It was reported that a man was present at the time of her death however he is not a suspect, according to TMZ.
The actress, who was found near a high school of a town with 15,000 population, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation authorities have not disclosed any details and cause of death as the toxicology and autopsy report is still pending.
It has also been announced that the police is not ruling out the possibility of “foul play”, among other possible caused of death.
Sophie was reportedly with other people at the wooden structure, which she had visited in the past. Currently, the officials are tracking down those individuals for investigation.
The actress’ family released an obituary revealing her struggle with mental health issues as she navigated through life trying to “handle it”.
Sophie Nyweide was a child actor born on July 8, 2000 in Vermont, US. She made her acting debut at 6 in Bella and went on to do multiple movies until 2015.
