Chad Michael Murray reveals life-threatening health crisis
The ‘Freakier Friday’ actor, Chad Michael Murray was fifteen at the time of the horrifying incident
Chad Michael Murray reminisced on the time he almost passed away after a two-month stay at the hospital when he was fifteen, and how it strengthened his relationship with God and his father.
The Freakier Friday actor opened up about his intestines being twisted, causing internal bleeding and that he had to get two different surgeries to be restored back to health.
In an episode of the Great Company podcast on August 8, the One Tree Hill star noted that he had lost around 50% of the blood in his body, and that he was on death bed with the situation being so dire that his family ad even called a priest at some point for his last rites.
Chad stated that he got blood transfusion which saved his life, but had o undergo another surgery to be out of the woods.
“Regardless, you’re in there for two months and, you know, my organs shut down because you have blood all coagulated around them, and they had to wait till everything [healed more],” he stated.
The Gilmore Girls star also revealed “I started my relationship with God, and my relationship with my father became really close,” praising his father for coming to visit him every day despite having four other children at home.
It is important to note that Chad has been vocal about the fact that he has taken good care of health since this incident, to prevent it from ever happening again.
