Joe Jonas’s celebrity status does not stop him from facing the same troubles common people face in terms of internet addictions.
The This is Me hitmaker released his newest hit Heart By Heart for an intimate audience at New York City's Bleecker Street Bar, by singing it for them.
The event had a catch, the attendees were asked not to film the performance, which was something Joe was looking forward to.
The Jonas Brother band member revealed to People in an interview after the event, "It's been a while — actually, the last time I performed with no phones, I honestly couldn't tell you.
“I went to the Masters this year, and you can't bring your phone, so that was nice,” he continued, while on the set for the music video of the song.
Joe then shockingly went on to admit that he is “chronically online,” and guilty of doom scrolling, a term used to refer to the act of consuming social media content to an excessive degree.
He explained that a break from the screens was a good way to be present in the moment and experience life in a more authentic manner.
The Hesitate crooner’s recommendations fell on deaf ears, as the audience recorded him regardless.
Joe Jonas’s upcoming album is titled Music for People Who Believe in Love, and will be released on May 23, 2025. The album marks his second solo studio album, after the first one, Fastlife, came out in 2011.
