Jennifer Aniston had a hilarious reaction to her unexpected cameo in HBO’s The Last of Us and fans can’t get enough.
The Friends alum, 56, was just as surprised as the rest of us when her face popped up during the season two premiere of the hit post-apocalyptic drama.
In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, Ellie (Bella Ramsey) stumbles across a preserved 2003 issue of PEOPLE magazine featuring none other than Aniston on the cover, alongside Kate Hudson and Britney Spears, in a “Best & Worst Dressed” issue.
Aniston reposted the scene on her Instagram Stories on April 22, adding the perfect dose of sarcasm: “Of all things to survive the apocalypse,” she wrote, tagging the show’s official account.
The resurfaced magazine had Ellie flipping through the pages with visible confusion, leading fans to joke about early 2000s pop culture being the real cockroach of the apocalypse.
Aniston made headlines last month when she was spotted grabbing dinner with Pedro Pascal, 50, who plays Joel in the hit series.
The pair were seen leaving the Sunset Tower Hotel in LA, and according to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, it was a “business dinner” to feel out a potential collaboration.
“Jen likes Pedro’s energy and would love to work with him,” the source said.
And she didn’t stop there. Aniston later celebrated Pascal’s 50th birthday by reposting a New Yorker comic about how humanity’s faith rests on whether or not Pedro Pascal is as wholesome as he seems.
“Can confirm — as nice as he seems,” she wrote over the comic.
