Gigi Hadid clears air after being dragged into Epstein files

Gigi Hadid has addressed her name appearing in the Epstein files for the first time, after months of silence on the matter.

The supermodel was referenced in a 2015 email exchange involving Jeffrey Epstein, where a unidentified individual questioned how she and her sister built their modeling careers.

According to E! News, Epstein responded in a way that appeared to take credit, which has since drawn backlash online.

After a social media user called her out for not speaking publicly, Gigi responded directly in the comments of her Instagram post.

She began, “Made me sick to my stomach. Horrible to read someone you’ve never met speak about you that way...in that email chain, he tried to take responsibility of peoples careers in order to manipulate his victims (in this case, whoever was emailing him questions about my career) .. who never saw the work he claimed he’d get them.”

She continued, “I didn’t comment bc I don’t want to take away from the stories of real victims of his; but your comment made me realize maybe its not clear...I signed to IMG in 2012. And I’ve worked hard every moment since.”

Moreover, she concluded her comment, writing, “To be named in those files… is disturbing… I have never had any affiliation with that disgusting human being. May he rest in.”
