Heath Ledger’s sister remembers the actor on 47th birth anniversary

Heath Ledger’s oldest sibling Kate recently remembered her brother on his 47th birth anniversary.

In her latest interview with news.com.au, the late actor’s sister revealed that his memories “still remains very much alive” within their family.

Kate talked about the last phone call she had with her late brother who was born on April 4, 1979.

Sharing some rare moments about Heath prior to his tragic demise, the sister revealed that he was “a really happy person and he had huge plans for his future”.

“I spoke to him the night before, and we were laughing and joking,” she told the outlet.

Kate shared that the actor was “so proud of what he had done in Batman. And I know he had plans for another Batman”.

“He loved working with Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, and Gary Oldman. He just had the best time ever doing that film,” mentioned Heath’s sister.

She recalled the actor “came home at Christmas and he couldn't wait to tell us all about it, and he was doing the voice and laughing, showing me all the rushes”.

“We had a great time,” said Kate as Heath later promised to call her at 8.30am the following day.

However, that day never came.

This was Kate’s final conversation with her late brother, who was discovered unresponsive in his bed by his housekeeper the next day on January 22, 2008 at age 28.

Meanwhile, Kate added that she still maintained communication with Heath’s former spouse Michelle Williams and their 16-year-old daughter Matilda.
