Lindsay Lohan is officially making her return to television, and this time, she’s front and centre.
The actor, 38, is set to lead and executive produce Count My Lies, a drama series currently in development at Hulu.
The show is based on Sophie Stava’s novel of the same name and boasts a creative team with serious emotional storytelling cred: This Is Us co-showrunners and How I Met Your Father co-creators Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger are also attached as executive producers and writers.
According to Hulu’s logline, the series centers around Sloane Caraway, a "compulsive liar" who "fibs her way into a nanny position for the gorgeous and charismatic Violet and Jay Lockhart."
But Sloane soon realizes she’s stepped into a house of secrets — ones that could have explosive consequences.
The series marks Aptaker and Berger’s third Hulu project and Lohan’s first lead television role, following her recent film comeback.
This announcement arrives as the star continues her Disney revival era, currently filming Freaky Friday 2 alongside Jamie Lee Curtis.
The sequel to the 2003 classic began production in June 2024 and is expected to hit theaters this August.
