British actor Orlando Bloom starred as the warrior elf Legolas on the award-winning fantasy movie series The Lord of the Rings, based on the books of the English author J.R.R. Tolkien.
The movies were directed by filmmaker Peter Jackson, who recently revealed that he is working on three new live-action movies set in Middle Earth, a fictional continent in Tolkien’s world.
Bloom has left the fans feeling excited as he has expressed his eagerness to work on Jackson’s upcoming project.
"I always think that if Pete says 'jump', I say, 'how high?'”, said the actor in response to question about his prospects, at the AwesomeCon.
“It was a beautiful time, but this idea of kind of going back is like... Absolutely, who wouldn't want to go back to that place?"
Jackson’s Lord of the Rings: The Hunt For Gollum is slated for a late 2027 release.
Orlando Bloom starred in The Lord of the Rings trilogy as the elf Legolas, from 2001 to 2003 and then appeared on The Hobbit trilogy from 2012 to 2016.
