Ellie Goulding, who sang the electropop hit Love Me Like You Do, posted a video to her social media, prompting fans to ask about her well-being.

The 38-year-old told her followers about her recent cosmetic procedure gone horribly wrong. In the Tiktok posted on April 10, the Still Falling For You singer’s face looked visibly irritated, red and swollen.

Ellie candidly accepted defeat against the evolving beauty standards captioning her post “I give up trying to look snatched.”

Fans quickly flooded the iHeartRadio award winner’s comments with concerned remarks like “My god Ellie, what happened to your skin? I hope it's fine.”

Another wrote, “Ouch. sorry.”

A third added, “You were beautiful just as you were! Not sure why you think you need to do anything. We love you for you!”

The Burn singer later explained that the culprit behind her inflamed skin was a laser facial.

The procedure is gaining prominence due to its anti-ageing effects and since other high-profile celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Kim Kardashian have given the method a shout out.

Ellie has a history of skin-related issues, however, as she was previously accused of getting botox injections, which she flat-out denied.
