Prince William receives support from Hollywood star after big announcement

Prince William received a message of support from a renowned Hollywood actress after he issued a big update about his passion project. 

Recently, the Prince of Wales confirmed that the annual Earthshot Prize Awards 2025 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in November. 

For the unversed, the future King launched the Earthshot Prize Awards in 2020 which aims to "find, support and celebrate those who turn bold ideas into real solutions to repair our planet."

Now, speaking of William's meaningful initiative, Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett showered praises on the Prince in a conversation with The Telegraph. 

She said, "Climate can feel like yet another burden to take on that no one individual can make the changes needed to turn things around."

The renowned actress stressed collective action which has the power to bring change rapidly. 

Cate added, "Small actions do add up. The way we consume does add up."

The Hollywood star believes the Earthshot "innovations that are not only game changing but rapidly scalable."

"The Prize, I feel, is a real injection of energised hope," she continued. "The interconnected nature of the Prize is part of its power."
