Meghan Markle’s latest attempt to impress in the kitchen has left fans — and top chefs — scratching their heads.

The Duchess of Sussex recently posted a playful cooking video to promote her As Ever brand, stirring two pots while dancing around her Montecito kitchen. But viewers quickly noticed something odd: both pots were on the back burners, while the front burners sat empty — lids resting on them instead.

“NO ONE cooks like this,” one fan wrote on X, calling the setup “ridiculous.” The clip sparked a frenzy online, with thousands mocking the “fake” cooking scene.

Even celebrity chef Jameson Stocks, who has cooked for King Charles III, chimed in. Speaking to the Daily Express, he said: “I find it hard to understand why she’d cook on the back burners when she’s standing right there. It’s bizarre — not practical, not real.”

Stocks, an ambassador for the King’s Trust, added that while keeping kids safe is important, the method looked “dull and unrealistic.”

Slamming her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, the chef said: “Netflix missed an opportunity. Viewers want the Meghan we saw during the Grenfell tragedy — hands-on, authentic. Not cakes in couture.”

Meghan’s show ranked in Netflix’s global Top 10, and a second season is on the way — but Stocks says it needs a total refresh: “It’s awkward. It doesn’t feel real.”

What is Meghan Markle's show 'With Love, Meghan' about?

Meghan’s new show features her "reimagining the genre of lifestyle programming” along with her celebrity friends as they roll “up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same”.

The series is part of Meghan and Prince Harry’s multi-year deal with Netflix, which they signed in 2020. The eight-part lifestyle series will mark Meghan’s return to her roots, featuring hosting and entertaining tips while welcoming celebrity friends on the show.
