Reality star Sean Lowe recently shared a terrifying experience with his fans.
In an Instagram video posted on Monday, Lowe revealed that his dog, Moose, attacked him twice last week.
The first attack occurred on Thursday when Lowe and his wife, Catherine, were having a barbecue with friends at their house.
The former star of The Bachelor said the attack happened when he went inside his home to turn off the smoke alarm as it went off after the barbecue smoke went inside. He was wafting the smoke off the detector with a dish rag when his dog bit him.
“As I'm holding the dish rag, Moose comes up and, like, bites it and kind of nips my finger really aggressively,” the 41-year-old shared.
Lowe disclosed that the dog’s bite left a hole in his shoe and as he tried to stop the dog, the pet started growling at him and viciously attacked him.
“I feel him just kind of ripping into the flesh of my arm. And at this point, I am doing everything I possibly can just to fend this dog off," Lowe revealed.
The Bachelor alum had to be rushed to the ER where he got several stitches in his arm.
The second attack took place the next day when Lowe was contemplating taking the dog to a no-kill animal shelter.
Lowe was in the front yard with his family when Moose charged him for the second time in less than 12 hours. He was able to hold back the dog this time around until the cops arrived.
“I'm fighting for my life here, like, I feel like, if this dog gets up, he is going to kill me," Lowe said.
Lowe and his wife brought Moose to their house just three months ago and the dog was primarily his.
Lowe concluded the video by expressing his gratitude, "I'm grateful it happened the way it did. He was a really, really good dog, and we miss him."
