Sir Anthony Hopkins has opened up about his estranged daughter after more than 20 years.
On October 27, The New York Times interviewer, David Marchese, asked the Veteran actor about the painful journey of his only child, Abigail Hopkins' estrangement.
The One Life actor is set to release his memoir, We Did OK, Kid, to clear his side of story next month.
The 87-year-old star looked deeply frustrated during interview, yet did not to say anything that could possibly hurt her feelings.
The Oscar-winning actor claimed his wife, Stella tried to communicate, but was completely ignored by Abigail.
"Not a word of response. So I think, okay, fine. I wish her well, but I'm not going to waste blood over that. If you want to waste your life being in resentment, fine, go ahead.
"I could carry resentment over the past, but that's death. You're not living. You have to acknowledge one thing: that we are imperfect. We're not saints. We're all sinners and saints or whatever we are. We do the best we can."
When David asked if he wants his daughter to read the memoir next month Anthony responded, "I'm not going to answer that. No. I don't care."
While speaking with The Telegraph, Abigail said she would reconcile with her father, in 2006, who she hadn't contacted for five years at the time.
Further added she don't know how she would feel about it. They had never really been close or discussed any life issues. Because their relationship all along had been sporadic.
