Benny Blanco reveals first impression about fiancée ‘Selena Gomez’

Selena Gomez, Grammy-nominated singer, revealed she had feelings for Benny Blanco before he did.

The sweethearts opened up about their relationship in Interview magazine on Valentines Day. Fetish singer shared it was “really simple.”

Although the couple met in a studio to work on a song together, according to Gomez, the pair had a connection with each other when she was “around 16,17.”

The 32-year-old singer shared: “that’s how easy it was for me.” 

“I liked him before he liked me.” She added.

The American record producer responded that he “had no idea” about singer’s sentiments. The duo planned to meet the Grammy-nominated producer's friends after working together on a project.

The love birds started texting afterwards and they “decided to get dinner the next day.”

It wasn’t until the 36-year-old songwriter’s second “clueless” date, when he finally understood Same Old Love hitmaker had feelings towards him. The record producer decided to make the pop artist his wife as he felt “different” about her.

He concluded: “This is the girl I’m going to marry. She is my best friend.”

For the unversed, Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez got engaged in December 2024. Gomez took to Instagram to break the news. The two are all set to release their first joint album I Said I Love You First as an engaged couple in March.
