Niall Horan reveals how 'End of an Era' changed over time

Niall Horan talked about End of an Era and how it became more emotional after Liam Payne’s passing.

The 32-year-old singer revealed the song was started much earlier and revisited nearly 18 months later before its final version.

At a recent event, the singer added, “I’m glad that I did and I think it’s the best way to put it… something that is so difficult to talk about. I had the title and the melody everything for like 18 months maybe.”

“It was a song about a similar feeling of letting go of your past but looking back with nostalgia and being happy about the present and looking forward to the future.”

Moreover, he said, “It still became a song about looking back with nostalgia and the happy times.”

Additionally, he revealed that while his usual songwriting process takes months, the final lyrics for this track came together in just around 10 minutes after that shift.

Notably, Dinner Party is set to release tomorrow, June 5.
