Charli XCX has officially announced the release date for her upcoming seventh studio album Music, Fashion, Film, confirming it will drop next month.
The singer took to her official Instagram account on Monday, June 1, revealing the album artwork featuring John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese.
In her post, she wrote, “My new album Music, Fashion, Film is out july 24th.”
She also added, “11 songs, 30 minutes, 5 seconds. available to pre order now, love you xx.”
The project follows her recent era defining success with Brat, and signals a shift in direction.
In earlier comments, she hinted that the new record would move away from her signature heavy dance production and vocal effects, describing a desire to experiment with form and expectations.
Speaking in an April cover story with British Vogue, she said, “For me, it’s fun to flip the form. We know there’s gonna be people who are bothered by it, but that’s fine.”
Music, Fashion, Film is set for release on July 24.
