The Voice judge Reba McEntire whittled down her team to only three members and will be continuing with the all-girls team after Tom Nitti self-eliminated himself.

The 68-year-old judge, on Monday, November 27, made an announcement before the play off round, “I have wonderfully talented people, but Tom had to leave for personal reasons.”

Not revealing much regarding his exit, everyone seemed to be curious until Tom cleared the air.

He took to his official Instagram account on Tuesday, November 28, and posted a video compiling pictures and clips of his girlfriend Ashley Bryant and kids, with Leather by Cody Johnson as the background music.

He wrote in the caption, “I’m blessed beyond belief and I can’t say enough how much I love and appreciate the constant support from my fans, my friends and my family.”

He confessed that this is probably one of the “hardest” yet “easiest” decisions he ever made.

Revealing the real reason of his departure from the show he stated, ”Ultimately at the end of the day, my kids will always come first and if I had to make the same decision again I’d do it over and over.”

He also thanked The Voice for letting him live his “wildest dreams” and what he has “always hoped” for.

McEntire cherished Nitti from the very beginning, not to mention, she was the only judge to turn her chair when he performed at the blind auditions.

He felt grateful to find true friends on the show, mentioning Bryant, Jordan Rainer, Jacquie Roar, Reba McEntire and more.

Tom added, “This isn’t the end of me and I’ll do what I do best,” referring to “playing music and raising/creating new memories with a family I will continue to grow.”

He proved that he deserved to be in the team, with subsequent impressive performances during the battle and the knockout round.

Tom shared that he is “alright and still standing,” noting that he is super motivated to “keepin’ on with music, my kids Rayleigh and Brently my whole family to include my smokin’ girlfriend that keeps my head held high.”

He concluded the lengthy passage with some hashtags.
