Chris Evans pal Scarlett Johansson skips his intimate wedding with Alba Baptista

Chris Evans married Portuguese actress and his girlfriend Alba Baptista in an intimate ceremony in front of their loved ones, as per reports.

While some of Evans' close friends and Marvel co-stars were present, Evans' best friend Scarlet Johansson was nowhere in pictures taken for the Avengers reunion at a Boston hotel.

The marriage reportedly has taken place on Saturday, September 9. Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan Downey, Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, as well as Jeremy Renner, were spotted dining at the five-star Newbury Boston hotel. John Krasinski and Emily Blunt also attended the event.

Since Johansson and Evans have been close friends for a long time, it appears strange that she had not joined the group. In fact, they made their acting debuts in the same 2004 film, The Perfect Score.

The two have since collaborated on eight films while maintaining their friendship of ten years.

Nevertheless, in the most recent sighting, Johansson has been dropped out of the movie Ghosted, released in past April, in which she was first shortlisted against Evans. Her role is the movie was replaced by Ana de Armas.

Several fans speculated that the Black Widow actress’ husband, Colin Jost, may not be happy with the close knitted bond of the two.

“Her SNL husband doesn’t like captain America,” one user wrote on reddit.

“Can you blame him ? Cap been smashing her since high school their chemistry is off he charts lmao,” another opined.

In most recent occurrence, the duo even made an undercover trip to Los Angeles to visit and meet Jeremy Renner after his near-fatal accident in January this year.

Evans, 42, and Johansson 38, have often talked about their platonic friendship consisting of over a decade, which is why the Lucy star’s absence is a questionable thing.
