Miley Cyrus reflects on Magic of burned Malibu residence shared with Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus takes a poignant trip down memory lane, revisiting her early days in the Malibu home she once shared with her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth.

In a TikTok video shared as part of her celebration for the new song Used to Be Young, the pop sensation opened up about the creation of her debut album, Meet Miley Cyrus, alongside producer Matthew Wilder within the confines of the same Malibu residence.

Little did she know that this very house, which held the seeds of her musical journey, would later become her shared abode with Hemsworth before being tragically consumed by wildfires in 2018.

Reflecting on this formative period, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter shared, The Meet Miley Cyrus record was really where I started writing my own songs as a solo artist, and so I was working with a producer in Malibu that lived in a house in Ramirez Canyon, which I would've never known 15 years later I would be living in that house, which would eventually burn down."

Miley Cyrus went on to reminisce about the house, highlighting the profound impact it had on her life.

"That house had so much magic to it," she expressed. "It ended up really changing my life."

Sources disclosed to PEOPLE that the ex-couple had initially intended to exchange vows in the picturesque ocean-side home, but the fires dashed those plans.
