Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Taylor Russell McKenzie is an actress, who landed her first major role in a 2012 CW drama Emily Owens, MD.

She didn’t get her big break until years later when she starred as Judy Robinson in the Netflix series Lost In Space in 2018.

The actress has co-starred alongside many renowned actors, including Timotheé Chalamet, with whom she appeared in Prime Video’s Bones and All last year.

Most recently, Russell starred in a play at The National Theatre titled The Effects.

In an interview with Elle, she opened up about her family’s financial crisis since she was a kid, prompting her to start working at only 13 years old.

“I didn't grow up in a wealthy family. My parents struggled; we were on welfare. Things changed a lot, so there was always an opportunity for reinvention, to create something new,” she told the outlet.
