Irina Shayk loses 11m followers post split from Cristiano Ronaldo

Supermodel Irina Shayk, renowned for her impressive Instagram following of 22.4 million, faced a significant decline in her follower count after her highly-publicized split from soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. 

According to reports from The Sun, Shayk's social media numbers took a sharp downturn, losing a staggering 11 million followers in a mere 24-hour period following their breakup.

The high-profile couple parted ways in 2015, and in the aftermath of their separation, Shayk made a noteworthy statement on her social media platform. 

She urged her followers to unfollow her if their interest solely revolved around her association with Cristiano Ronaldo, signaling a desire to be appreciated for her own individual identity and achievements.

Cristiano Ronaldo, on the other hand, currently reigns as one of the most followed individuals on Instagram, with a massive fan base of 597 million people.

Following their separation, Ronaldo found love with Georgina Rodriguez, with whom he remains in a committed relationship. Meanwhile, Shayk embarked on a relationship with Oscar-winning actor Bradley Cooper.

During their time together, Irina and Cristiano welcomed a daughter named Lea De Seine. Despite their breakup in 2019, Shayk and Cooper continue to raise their daughter together, sharing a strong co-parenting bond. 

In a past interview with Elle, Irina emphasized that she never quite understood the term "co-parenting," as she believes that when she's with her daughter, she's wholly a mother, and the same applies when Lea is with her father. 

The supermodel expressed her admiration for Cooper's dedication as a father, referring to him as "the most amazing dad."
