Netflix’s hit show Emily in Paris is undergoing its filming stage for the upcoming season.
The shooting was hit with major mishap when the show's assistant director collapsed on the set and passed away.
Diego Borella, the assistant director of the show, fell in front f the crew on set and passed away.
Instant help was provided to Diego as medics rushed to the historic Hotel Danieli in the city at around 7pm on Thursday but he could not survive.
He was pronounced dead at 7:30PM local time after resuscitation attempts failed.
According to La Repubblica, the late crew member passed away after suffering a heart attack.
The late filmmaker was an accomplished individual of his field who had trained in cities across the world including Rome, London and New York.
Following Diego’s death, the filming of the show was paused for two days.
After the halt, the filming has resumed in Venice.
The show’s star Lily Collins was spotted with her co-star Eugenio Franceschini, surrounded by crew members.
The two were seen leaving the hotel building and boarding a boat.
The show’s season five is under production and will be released on December 18.
