Billie Eilish's fans were spellbound by the singer's new song for the much anticipated Margot Robbie movie, Barbie, What Was I made For?
The Grammy-winning singer shared a snippet on her Instagram page to let her followers know about the release of her new music video for the song.
The singer began the caption, noting: "'What Was I Made For?' our barbie song (& video) is out now. :’) in january greta showed me and finneas a handful of some unfinished scenes from the film; we had nooooo idea what to expect at ALLL... we were so deeeeeply moved.. that the next day we were writing and COULDNT shut up about it lolll andddddddddd ended up writing almost the entire song that night."
The Bad Guy singer gets candid about the music video sharing: "to be real with you this all seemed to happen in a time when i really needed it. i’m so so thankful for that. this video makes me cryyyyy.. it means so much to me and i hope it will mean just as much to you. don’t have much to say other than that, i think it will speak for itself:’’’’) enjoy"
What Was I Made For? was written and produced by Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell for Barbie's soundtrack.
The 21-year-old musician can be seen in the video opening a black bag decorated with many stickers, including a sizable one bearing the word Barbie in cursive type, while seated in a chair in front of a wooden desk.
She is seen with her normally dark-coloured hair dyed blonde and pulled up in a blonde ponytail, clearly channelling retro 1960s vibes. She is also seen wearing an old-fashioned buttoned-up yellow dress, two rings, and a pair of yellow dangly earrings. Eilish added a subtle makeup look to her Barbie-inspired dress.
