Who is Taylor Russell? 

Russell is a Canadian actress. One of her standout roles was in the film Bones and All, where she portrayed the character Maren Yearly alongside acclaimed actor Timothee Chalamet. 

The movie revolves around the unconventional love story of two young cannibalistic lovers embarking on a road trip across the nation. 

In an interview with Vanity Fair, she revealed a personal connection to her character, as she herself experienced frequent relocations during her upbringing, constantly adapting to new environments.  

She shared her experiences as a biracial individual, her father being Black and her mother being white, she predominantly grew up in the company of her mother's side of the family. 

In an interview with TheGrio, she opened up about the challenges she faced growing up, including instances of people wanting to touch her hair and the difficulties she encountered in finding acceptance from both Black and white peers.
