Bone chilling Simpsons episode predicted missing Titanic sub incident

The Simpsons eerily predicted the chilling Ocean Gate incident when a submarine carrying five people got stuck under the ocean.

In a video going viral on Twitter, it showcased an episode from the show titled Homer’s Paternity Coot, the tenth episode of the 17th season of the animated series, which shows Homer going for an underwater expedition with his "long lost son".

The reference was strangely similar as two of those trapped some 13,000 ft underwater are Pakistani billionaire Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleiman Dawood.

In the episode, the pair is seeking long-lost treasure which they find at a ship’s wreckage, referencing the Titanic remains that the Ocean Gate quintet voyaged to witness.

As the episode progresses, Homer successfully recovers the treasure but encounters a hiccup on his way back to the surface as he gets stuck.

In a bone-chilling revelation, Homer’s underwater expedition goes south as the oxygen meter indicated that he was running out of time, essentially mirroring the currently high-stakes mission to rescue the group as they count down the minutes till their oxygen supply depletes.
