WhatsApp is currently preparing to launch the latest feature that will efficiently manage home screen chat notifications.
Currently, Meta-owned WhatsApp supports a feature where the notification count on the app icon automatically resets to zero every time after launching the app.
According to WABetaInfo, with the upcoming feature, if the toggle is turned on, home screen notifications will remain visible until all unread messages and calls are seen.
It aims to simplify for users to comprehend how unread messages and missed calls affect the notification count.
Notably, the feature is currently under development and is likely to be rolled out to all Android users in the near future.
In the past few days, the platform launched several innovative features, offering an intuitive and user-friendly experience to all the users engaged with the app.
On the sidelines, WhatsApp is preparing to launch another feature that automatically shares username updates. It will notify users when someone in their contacts and group updates their username.
