Adele has been a little harsh on herself when performing in Las Vegas and forgetting the lyrics of one of her songs.
She went to the audience for assistance when she lost the words to I Drink Wine off her 30 album during one of the Grammy winner's most recent Weekends with Adele residency performances at The Colosseum in Las Vegas.
According to a fan-shot video posted online, Adele stopped performing and muttered, "I forgot the f---ing lyrics," after muttering through a line of the song. "Bloody hell!"
"Fifty dollars that cost me last night," continued the 35-year-old performer with a chuckle, before turning to a fan in the front of the audience. "Remind me of me lyric."
The singer's die-heart fan completed the lyric for her, and Adele said, "Alright, let's reset and start that one again, shall we?" She playfully offered the audience member $50 if they could finish the line before trying to continue the song but running into a technical problem.
She then started to improvise and come up with a joke to tell the gathering to pass the time.
"What's a joke I've got? No, that one's a bit s---. No, I can't tell that one. That's too filthy," said Adele, who was met with fans wanting to hear the dirty joke. "No, I can't. I think I've told it before, and I think I got it in trouble."
The Hello singer feigned to introduce herself to the crowd as though the concert was just getting started when the production team was ready to resume the song. The crowd erupted in laughter when she sang I Drink Wine exactly as she had planned, complete with lyrics.
