Reese Witherspoon 'doing much better' following 'difficult' Jim Toth divorce

Reese Witherspoon is powering through the storm in her own right.

Speaking to People, a source revealed that the Legally Blonde star is “doing much better” following the “difficult” divorce from Jim Toth last month.

"The divorce decision was not an easy one for her. It was rough to reach the decision and to announce it," they explained.

"Reese is doing much better now though. She has no regrets and is just focused on her kids and work."

Why did Reese and Jim Divorce?

Witherspoon and Toth, who share a 10-year-old son, Tennessee James, had grown apart and fell out of love which led to their divorce after 12 years of marriage.

An insider told Us Weekly last December that the pair had been living “very separate lives” and slept in “separate rooms.”

Despite the bleak nature of their relationship, the source shared that the Morning Show actress is acquiring the support of her friends to get through its end.

"She has a big group of loyal friends that she leans on," the insider told People. "There is no drama with Jim. They co-parent and this is the focus."

The former couple announced their divorce via Instagram on March 24, writing, "It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. 

"We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together," they added.
